| Emma Long Metropolitan
Park 1600 City Park Road. Featuring a shoreline along Lake Austin, Emma Long offers swimming areas, fishing, boat ramps and docks-designed for both motor and sailboats, a wading area and a bathhouse. Emma Long offers an open playfield, volleyball, archery and a motorcycle track which is also availble to mountain bikers. Complete with barbecue pits and reservation areas, Emma Long is the only Austin park to offer overnight camping. There is an entry charge for Emma Long Park. |
Lake Walter E. Long Metropolitan
Park 6614 Blue Bluff Road.With two large boat ramps and plenty of wide open bank, Walter E. Long is an excellent place to fish and water ski. For the land-lover, Walter E. Long has large shaded and open picnic areas, an open playfield, volleyball and reservation areas. There is an entry charge for Lake Walter E. Long. |
| Walnut Creek Metropolitan
Park 12138 North Lamar Boulevard. Walnut Creek is home to the Havins Softball Complex. Additionally, the park features three ballfields, a swimming pool and bathhouse, volleyball, multi-use courts, basketball, a playscape, concessions and hike and bike trails along the creek. |
Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan
Park 907 Slaughter Lane.Features a two mile equestrian trail, 1.5 miles of hike and bicycle trails, and an 18 hole disc golf course. Additionally the park includes a model airplane field, open playfields, a baseball field, soccer fields, tennis courts, picnic areas and fishing. |
| Town Lake Metropolitan
Park 509 acres of park land along the banks of the Colorado River from the Tom Miller Dam to the Longhorn Dam. This giant park contains over 10 miles of jogging and bicycle trails, surrounded by trees and shrubs. For the athlete, Town Lake Park offers 17 ballfields for baseball, football, soccer and rugby; volleyball; team and performance rowing; and canoeing. Other park facilities include a swimming pool, picnic areas, boat ramps and a playscape. Auditorium Shores, a terraced amphitheater within Town Lake Park, is home of the Summer Concert Series and the Austin Symphony Independence Day Concert. |

| Zilker Metropolitan Park 2100 Barton Springs Road. For the swimmer, Zilker Park offers Barton Springs Pool, a natural spring-fed pool with a year-round avearge temperature of 68 degrees. The sports enthusiast will enjoy the sand volleyball courts and wide open baseball, football, soccer and rugby fields. Home to the Zilker Botanical Gardens, which includes the Taniguchi Oriental Garden and the Austin Area Garden Center. The Zilker Hillside Theatre hosts concerts ranging from Jazz to Country. The theatre is the site of the Zilker Summer Musical and Shakespeare in the Park. Ride on the Zilker Zephyr miniature train or paddle a canoe down Barton Creek. The park also includes a large multi-age playscape, hike and bike trails and large full-service picnic areas. There is a fee for parking on weekends. |

| Hamilton Preserve Features of the preserve include: a 45' waterfall, swimming hole and nature trails along the creek. Updated information is posted at the entrance booth and provided on the park's telephone recorder message (512-264-2740). Drinking water or concessions are not available in the preserve; chemical toilets are provided. Hours of operation 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. A daily entrance fee of $5.00 per vehicle is charged. Pets are not allowed. Helpful Hints... The well-marked hiking trail leads from the parking lot to Hamilton Creek. At the creek, the trail to the right goes to the pool and the trail to the left follows the creek downstream to the Pedernales River. Bald cypress trees, lush, diverse plant communities, and a variety of wildlife species occupy the grotto and downstream areas. The hike from the parking lot to the pool is about 1/2-mile round-trip; the hike along the creek from the pool to the river is about 3/4 mile, or l 1/2 miles round-trip from the parking lot. |
